
Huia-Ann Wills, a seasoned art therapist, based in the Hokianga, has a decade of experience in the field of arts therapy. Trained in psychology and the arts, Huia-Ann specialises in running art therapy-based workshops, in a wide range of the arts, and provides powerful individual therapy as a follow up, harnessing the power of art to help people transform their way of thinking. Huia-Ann has had a strong focus on youth, and troubled Adults. Huia-Ann has dedicated years to working with at-risk individuals, notably at Barnados, and Youthline. Doing art therapy with youth facing the challenges of suicide. Beyond this, Huia-Ann has collaborated with churches, serving as a Christian counsellor for both youth and adults. Her expertise extends to the local health system including people with cancer, working in the private sector, where she’s facilitated healing journeys for countless individuals. Most recently Huia-Ann worked with Pu Te O Wheke Community Art Gallery in Kaikohe, as their outreach art therapist/tutor.
